Intra-Oral Camera Makes You a Part of the Team
The doctor works hand-in-hand with patients to create a bond of teamwork. One of the ways we bring this about is through the use of a high-tech tool, the Intra-Oral Camera. This amazing device is a miniature video camera that displays a close-up picture of the inside of your mouth. You can see for yourself what work needs to be done and which teeth are doing fine. You then become a participant in each dental decision. You’ll love how this works!
Worried about X-Ray Radiation at the Dentist’s Office?
Not at the Boulder Center for Advanced Dentistry!
It’s a kinder and gentler world, especially at the Boulder Center for Advanced Dentistry these days. The scary needles and drills have been replaced with high-tech equipment that didn’t even exist a few years ago. One such piece of dental technology is the digital X-ray.
Dental X-rays have been “good enough,” but with today’s modern dental technology, a more accurate diagnosis is required. Enter the digital X-ray. Because of fluoridated water, tooth enamel has become much harder and decay resistant. This is a good thing, except that it makes decay much harder to detect. Often it does not even show up on a traditional X-ray.
The Boulder Center for Advanced Dentistry’s Digital X-rays Provide:
• Clearer, high-accuracy images allow accurate diagnosis
• Detects leaks and/or fractures in existing fillings
• Early detection prevents major damage
• Early detection prevents major dental procedures
Less radiation exposure at the Boulder Center for Advanced Dentistry: the new X-ray technology produces up to 90% less radiation than earlier methods. Traditional X-rays are and always have been perfectly safe. However, some people were nervous about the amount of radiation they were receiving in the dental office.
This new technology eliminates this concern.
Also, there’s no “waiting for the X-ray to develop.” Extremely accurate pictures are available instantly and stored on the computer, where they will always be available.
